Hawklsey
Irish Wolfhound

Hawksley is our Irish Wolfhound. He's always by my side is an absolute sweetheart. He's the definition of a gentle giant. He helps out on most of the dog walks - he's very good at reminding me when it's treat-time. He's also a part-time actor! Keep an eye out for him in commercials and a couple of TV shows! Click here and here for photos of him with the leading ladies.

Darwin
Xoloitzcuintle

Darwin is our most recent addition. He had been in several homes before ending up in animal control. With his extreme fear of people his fate was not looking good until his foster mom saved him. We adopted him before we were even able to touch him. It took about a week before he'd even approach us, and months before we could approach him without him cowering and peeing. But now he's the sweetest little guy! Except if you're a stranger. We're still working on his attitude with new people but he has come such a LONG way!

Saber Tooth
Irish Wolfhound

July 2002 - February 2011

Saber came to us when we first started fostering dogs for rescue. At only a four months old, he'd been given up. He was a 64 pound bag of bones with every worm and parasite imaginable. It took many vet visits but he finally gained strength and became a happy, healthy hound. I took him with me everywhere I could. He was even invited to a few of my animal anatomy classes in college. If you're going to learn about dog bones and muscles, it might as well be on a 180-pound dog! He passed away unexpectedly shortly after a successful surgery in 2011. I miss him incredibly and it's impossible not to tear up as I write about him. We miss you Saber Tooth!
